Response to COVID-19

We want to let our clients know that we at the Center for Relational Care have been working diligently to initiate procedures to ensure the health and safety of our clients and our staff during this COVID-19 situation.  We ask for your assistance in adhering to the policies and procedures for in person appointments as outlined below that are designed to provide the safest possible environment for you, your loved ones, and the CRC staff.

  • Our office will communicate with you before your appointment to ask health-screening questions. (If we are not able to reach you, we will ask you these questions when you come to the office.)

    • If you need to cancel due to concerns with the screening questions, there will be no cancellation fee.

  • When you arrive for your appointment, please come into the office.  We ask that if another client is at the reception window, please be seated.  Someone from our administrative team will call you when they are available to assist you.

    • If you prefer, you may choose to wait in your car until your counselor is ready for you. Please contact the office and notify us that you have arrived and we will call you when your counselor is ready to start your session.

  • We ask that, anyone over six years old would wear a face covering upon entering and exiting our building.  Once you are settled into the counseling office, as long as a 6-foot distance can be maintained during your session, you will not need to wear your face-covering while in session.

  • We will have hand sanitizer in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.

  • Our waiting rooms will no longer offer magazines.

  • We will do our best to allow greater time between clients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of clients in the reception area at any one time.

  • Companions of clients may need to wait in their vehicles or outside of our offices in order to limit the number of people entering and exiting the building and offices. (Our administrative team will let you know.)

  • After your session is completed, we ask that you not return to the front desk receptionist. Rather, if you need to schedule another appointment, either do so with your counselor after your session or call the office to schedule.

  • Our counseling and administrative staff will be following these same health guidelines, including:

    • 6+ feet social-distancing

    • Regular sanitization of all spaces

    • Your counselor will open doors for you within the office for a “touchless in-office experience.”

    • CRC Staff with even mild symptoms of any illness (especially mild fever) being required to stay home or go home

Additionally, we want to let you know:

  • For various reasons, and with CRC's full support, some of CRC's counselors will not be resuming in-person counseling until a future date.

  • Tele-health services are available to you if this becomes your preference.

  • Our administrative team will know who is available for either in-person and/or tele-health services.

We look forward to serving you and are happy to answer any questions you may have.
