Intensives

Counseling Session Interaction

Accelerated Relational Care

Rather than meet weekly for an hour, we offer the option of longer sessions and intensive retreats to address underlying issues rather than settling for managing symptomatic behaviors.

Intensives help people understand the way the brain functions, identify unhealthy patterns and experience the possibility for change and healing in a safe, attuned relationship.

Marriage Intensives

This Relational Care Intensive retreat for married couples is a therapeutic program that offers a structured, focused opportunity for deeper healing. As a couple, you will find growth and freedom from dysfunctional patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving as you experience healthy alternatives within a caring, connected group. Participation in the intensive program requires 8-12 hours of preparatory marital counseling with one of our staff counselors.

  • better communication skills

  • resolution of painful emotions

  • deeper intimacy with God and your partner

  • breaking free from unhelpful relational patterns

After the Retreat

Once the Intensive Retreat is complete, CRC's counselors remain available to support you as you continue applying what you have learned to your daily life.

Private Intensives

If you’re feeling uncertain, our counselors can provide an initial consultation and help you determine what support would be most helpful.

The “Rite of Truth” - How to Rebuild After Betrayal

Uncovering betrayal doesn’t just reveal new information; it unsteadies the entire foundation of a relationship. What once felt steady can quickly feel disorienting, and the need for truth becomes both urgent and essential. Many couples find themselves caught between the desire for clarity and the fear of causing more harm.

The reality is, disclosure can be a pivotal step toward healing, but without the right support, it can also reinforce the very wounds it’s designed to repair.

A Trauma-Informed Approach to Disclosure

Disclosure Intensives grounded in the Restoring Truth Model offer a process designed to be:

  • Partner-sensitive

  • Trauma-informed

  • Structured for clarity, safety, and containment

  • Focused on restoring truth in a way that heals, not retraumatizes, the relationship

This approach recognizes that disclosure is not just about information but safety, respect, and repair.

Professionally guided disclosures have been shown to support partners, betrayers, and the relationship when done with care, intentionality, and structure.

What is a Disclosure Intensive?

A Disclosure Intensive is a focused, guided experience that helps couples move through the disclosure process with clarity and support rather than confusion or reactivity.

Together, we will:

  • Prepare both partners thoughtfully and thoroughly

  • Clarify needs, boundaries, and expectations

  • Facilitate a structured disclosure process

  • Support immediate stabilization and next steps for recovery

A disclosure intensive is not a passive experience. It requires a clear commitment, free from distractions or avoidance, and a willingness to engage in meaningful and at times uncomfortable work in service of truth and repair.

This is not rushed work, and it is not work you have to navigate alone.

Who is This For?

Disclosure Intensives may be a good fit for couples navigating:

  • Affairs or infidelity

  • Sexual addiction or compulsive sexual behavior

  • Ongoing secrecy or staggered “trickle” disclosure

  • Betrayal trauma and relational rupture

Whether you are early in discovery or have been sitting with information for some time, this process creates a pathway forward in hope and healing.

An Investment

Disclosure Intensives with Hannah Kalk, MS, LMFT are offered at her hourly rate with customized scheduling based on your needs and the scope of the process.

An Invitation

If you are carrying the weight of unanswered questions, destroyed trust, or the unknowns of “where do we go from here,” you are not alone.

There is a path to move through disclosure that is grounded in truth, guided with care, and oriented toward healing.

If you’d like to explore whether a Disclosure Intensive is the right next step for you, I would be honored to connect.
