Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB)

For Counselors

IPNB is not a way of doing something,
it is a way of understanding the nature of being human.

In this training you will gain insights into the importance of the brain, the whole body, relationships with ourselves and other people, and interconnections with nature and God. IPNB offers a framework to help both therapists and clients. Therapists will be challenged in their own person-of-the-therapist work in order to build resiliency and self-compassion. Therapists will also gain tools and interventions to help clients experience healthy integration in order to live with meaning and purpose, compassion and connection.

This training is for therapists, counselors, coaches and/or pastoral counselors.

Level Two
Nine Domains of Integration
In-Depth Training and Consultation Group

The nine Domains of Integration are a clinical framework from Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB), developed by Dan Siegel. Integration (differentiate then link) is a hallmark of health; mentally, physically, and spiritually. The domains are clinically informed and biblically supported.

IPNB provides a comprehensive framework for the brain, the mind and relationships.  The domains can be used to assess a client’s level of integration and provide appropriate interventions as part of an overall treatment plan to increase the potential for mental health.  It can serve as a guide to enhance the way God created us to heal and live out the Great Commandment.

“If you have been curious about IPNB but also intimidated by the concepts, Janai’s class is the way to go. The class is meaningful, professionally valuable and led by a gentle IPNB master who can whisper understanding so you have many “aha” moments.
She has melded together a format and pacing to allow for greater understanding, relational connections and a sense of how this all works with faith in God.

There is room for self reflection along with case consultations.

I highly recommend it.

You will come back to your clients with more awareness, understanding and applications to assist with integration”.

I am so grateful to have been able to attend and participate in this training especially as a graduate student intern. I learned so much. It was such a privilege. I hope to continue to grow in applying the framework. Janai did a phenomenal job on this training! I could not have asked for a better training. She has so much knowledge to share with us all. The content was helpful, and thoughtfully put together.  Katie was a great co-leader and her insight was always valuable and sparked great discussions. I am very grateful to them both for this training.
