Mackinzie Meyer is a Licensed Professional Counselor/ Supervisor and a Registered Play Therapist/Supervisor. She has been with CRC for over twelve years. She provides counseling services to children, adolescents, caregivers/ parents, and families. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Texas State University. Mackinzie has special interest in and experience working with issues surrounding grief and loss, the child-parent relationship, parenting support, foster/adoptive families, emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, and trauma treatment. She works from an attachment-based, relational lens and she is trained in EMDR Therapy, Theraplay® Level-One, Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT), Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI), Circle of Security® Parenting, and the Integrative Attachment Trauma Protocol for Children (IATP-C). She has served on both the state and local boards of the Texas Association for Play Therapy.
