I am a Licensed Professional Counselor/Supervisor and a Registered Play Therapist/Supervisor™, and I began my counseling career at CRC in 2010. I provide counseling services to children, adolescents, caregivers/parents, and families, and I have a special interest in and experience working with issues surrounding the parent-child relationship, parenting support, adoptive families, emotional and behavioral regulation, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and trauma treatment. My approach is relational and informative, and includes skill-building and evidence-based practices.
I am trained in Play Therapy and Sandtray Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Theraplay® (Level Two), Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT), Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) (Level One), Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI), Circle of Security® Parenting, Integrative Attachment Family Therapy (IAFT) (Level One), Integrative Attachment Trauma Protocol for Children (IATP-C), SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) parent-based treatment, and the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) listening therapy, as well as other modalities. I have previously served on both the state and local boards of the Texas Association for Play Therapy.
