Welcome! Healing looks different for everyone, but I believe that we heal and grow in the context of relationships, where we can experience belonging and safety. My hope is to create this kind of space for clients as a foundation to begin our work together. My approach with clients is collaborative, strengths-based, and trauma-informed.
My work with children involves facilitating the healing bond between caregivers and their kids. I love coming alongside caregivers to support and empower them as they help their child navigate difficult life circumstances, as well as to provide practical tools for tough parenting situations. I help children make sense of mixed up feelings and big behaviors through their natural language of play, as well as through sand tray, expressive arts, music, books, and experiential activities.
Before becoming a counselor, I worked in international education - in Central Asia and here in Austin - as an art teacher and graphic designer. I have always enjoyed working in cross-cultural settings, and I am a great fit for international clients who have settled in Austin.
My husband and I have 2 small children, and in my free time I make pottery, garden, and spend as much time outdoors as I can.
