About me...

I believe in the importance of collaborating with clients to help them find solutions to the stuck places in their lives. I feel that the process of establishing a therapeutic relationship between the counselor and client is beneficial to the healing process. Approaches that I draw from include dialectical behavior therapy, solution-focused therapy, and cognitive behavior therapy.

Areas of interest include working with children, teens, individuals and couples dealing with matters such as grief, anxiety, depression and life transitions. I have a passion for working with premarital couples because I believe this is a crucial time in the relationship to draw near to one another to create a strong foundation in which to build a marriage upon.

What I love most about counseling is the privilege and honor it is to partner with clients to hear their story and work together to reach their goals. I made the decision to pursue counseling because I believe in the healing power of finding our true, authentic selves and working to find freedom from areas of pain in our lives. Prior to making the decision to pursue the field of counseling, I worked as a child life specialist in the hospital setting providing moments of normalcy in the midst of ongoing medical challenges. In my free time, I love to be outdoors and go hiking with my husband.
