About me...

Meaning. Human connection. Truth. Love. I believe the desire for these things is deep-seated in all of us. But before we can begin to grasp these, we have to face the wounds that we have given and have received as an inherent part of being alive. The best healing and growth comes when the counselor and the client work together to understand what pressing problems exist, what the client’s desires are, and the best way to forge a path forward. My desire is to really get to know each client, their personality, their complex history, their present joys and struggles. This knowledge and our relationship is the foundation from which we move toward the client’s goals. Relationships are the theme of my life. I am a Christian, which for me has looked like a journey of discovering who God is and how I should relate to Him. My husband and I have raised 4 delightful children here in Austin; two are in college and two are at home in high school. After homeschooling our kids for several years I worked in school administration, and there I realized what I love most of all is meeting the various physical and emotional needs I encounter each day. In addition to people, I love stories of all kinds, being in beautiful places, and learning interesting things about the world we live in.
